The fellow is exposed to a wide variety of indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. As the only 24/7 hyperbaric medicine facility in all of Central and Western New York, this includes a variety of emergent indications and critical care patients from a large catchment area. 除了, the fellow obtains significant training in wound care management through daily participation in the integrated 上州立大学医院 伤口护理中心.
The Program offers extensive experience in monoplace hyperbaric chamber treatment including monoplace critical care experience. 除了, the fellow gains experience in multiplace chamber operations during their rotation with affiliated programs that include Phelps Hospital Northwell Health, 海底部 and Hyperbarics Medicine. The fellow has the opportunity to attend the UHMS Physician Training in Diving Medicine course, Medical Examiner of Divers course, and the UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting. 除了, the fellow rotates at Divers Alert Network call center for a week in the spring.
